About STEMx

Pakistan Innovation Foundation runs the National STEM School™  a unique residential programme that provides unmatched learning opportunities and experiences to some of the best and brightest students carefully selected through a very intense and rigorous process and engages them in hands-on learning through a carefully curated programme of activities and interactions. Starting with LUMS in 2016, National STEM School has been around for 5 years now and has diversified into a series of other offerings including a Makers Summer Camp (at Cadet College Hasanabdal and EME College) in 2018-19, STEMx – a 6-week research internship programme with our leading faculty, a STEM Leaders Summer Retreat (at Habib Public School) in 2019, and STEM 2.0: Advanced Physics Programme at National Center for Physics in Summer of 2019.

Why STEMx

The National STEM School is based on the ideology that science is best taught by engaging students in actually exploring freely and creating things under the guidance of qualified professionals rather than being on the receiving end of lectures by teachers.
